January flew by -- we started the year with a traditional meal of pork, greens, hoppin' johns, rice, cornbread, etc. We tried some new restaurants for breakfast and visited our favorites for dinner. We attempted to do some boat chores but were more inclined to spend time relaxing and reading books and magazines.
The weather wasn't always cooperative for dining outside or doing boat chores. We had numerous cold fronts pass through. The lower temperatures weren't the problem it was the wind and often with gusts of 36 or 38 mph! Not easy to do anything outdoors! We are hoping February is warmer; however, we shouldn't complain when we see really low temps in parts of the US.
