January was spent at the Ft. Pierce City Marina socializing with friends and attending events instead of doing boat chores! Many of our boating friends stopped by while heading south -- Bob and Lynn on M/V Legrace, Larry and Sue on M/V SueSeaQ IV, Terry and Kim on M/V Hawkeye. Jim and Sue on M/V Water Dancer came in on January 7 and will probably stay after we leave...

We continue to enjoy the Farmer's Market every Saturday morning and try to stock a week's worth of fruit and vegetables. Su had a wonderful spa day with a massage, exfoliating back scrub, facial, scalp treatment with essential oils, wash & style; she finished with a mani/pedi the following day.....such a relaxing time!

We had tickets to the Sunrise Theater for Richard Nader's Rock 'n Roll Doo Wop Concert with The Drifters (Save the Last Dance for Me, Under the Boardwalk, Up on the Roof, This Magic Moment), Joey Dee & and the Starlighters (Peppermint Twist), Gene Chandler (Duke of Earl), and Barbara Harris (A Lover's Concerto). The theater was packed with aging boomers who knew all the words to these golden oldies.

Friday, January 23, we drove down to the Marriott in Stuart to attend TrawlerFest where we saw our friends, Bob & Lynn on M/V Legrace, Vince & Mary on M/V Betty B, and John, our friend from March '07 down in Black Point Marina. That was the surprise of the day!
