On October 1, we drove back to the condo in Greer where we spent time doing errands, making lists, going to doctor and vet appointments. Su spent a week out in St. Louis staying with her parents and visiting with relatives and friends.

On Saturday, October 25, we drove back to Myrtle Beach and unloaded Jim's car. It was amazing how much stuff we brought back on board.

On Sunday, October 26, as we cruised down to Georgetown, SC, we heard our friend Geoff calling a marina on the VHF. We thought Brenda and Geoff on S/V Silver were somewhere in North Carolina, so this was a complete surprise. Jim called them on the VHF, and we made plans for cocktails and dinner.

John of Seatec came aboard on Monday, October 27 to survey the electrical system that they installed a year ago. As you can see, Alex decided he would manage the tool bag while providing supervision. Jim also had a heavy-duty 12-volt battery cable installed from the main panel to the bridge. In case you want to know why this was done, the reason given to Su is that this cable can handle any "new toys" that Jim needs, or is it wants!!!

We left Georgetown on Thursday, October 30 and headed to Charleston for the night. Jim had dinner with his son; Su met her friend, Maureen, who she hadn't seen since the northbound trip in the spring of '07. Halloween was spent cruising to Beaufort, SC where we stayed at Port Royal Landing marina.
