What can we say about four months of living on land? The three of us fell into a routine -- Jim and Alex napped every afternoon while I played free cell or solitaire. We concluded that we were not ready to return to land and not pleased with being in cold weather including two snowfalls, one brought ice at the end. On the positive side, my left knee healed and the swelling finally when down. I had a wonderful visit with my family at my sister's over Christmas. In our phone calls back and forth, I would always ask about Alex and then we discussed the temperatures....West Palm Beach's night temps were the day temps in Greer, SC!!!

In March, we moved the boat back to Marina Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach. Unfortunately, it was still too cold to take advantage of their lovely swimming pool area. One of my best friends from high school, Nancy and her husband, Joe, drove down from Surf City where they were visiting and joined us for Easter dinner aboard Palmetto Moon. We had a great visit.

In mid April, we started our trek north with a stop in Southport, NC where Jim and Sue on Water Dancer visited with us over the weekend. They have been docked in Wilmington, NC for months and we promise to visit them on our return southbound trip. We arrived in Oriental, NC on April 25. We were hauled out in early May for our annual 30-day stay on jack stands with the 16' ladder. I am not including a picture as we were in the exact same spot as we were last June. Fortunately, for Alex, the high heat index waited until the day we were put back in the water and could run the air conditioning.
