Our February routine followed the one set in January: Su and Sue continued their Wednesday schedule of lunch/shopping/dinner with trips to Vero Beach, historic downtown Melbourne, and Sebastian. Jim and Su continued celebrating sundown with cocktails at the Tiki Bar and often dinner at Cobb's Landing (both are at opposite corners of the marina). Every Saturday, we attended the Farmers Market for breakfast and shopping although the crowds made moving about more difficult.

On Friday, February 10, we went to the Sunrise Theatre to see Foreigner known for some of these songs: I Want to Know What Love Is, Waiting for a Girl Like You, Feels Like the First Time, Cold as Ice. It was a fabulous concert that was sold out, and it felt like we were back in the late 60s!
On Sunday, February 19, Su and her sister, Jane, toured Heathcote Botanical Gardens in Fort Pierce. It is home to the largest public tropical bonsai collection in the United States, featuring 100 bonsai trees on permanent display. All appeared to be works of art!

They were all incredibly gorgeous, so another picture had to be included.

The Palm Walk was amazing with many varieties although I don't believe all 2,800 were represented. This area was very peaceful with benches placed for relaxation and contemplation.
On Friday, February 24, Su had lunch with Jim and Chris Hoefer Fragetti at Cobb's Landing. They are convinced that they haven't changed much since high school! It is great to have friends for a lifetime and be able to catch up with each other as well as hear about other classmates.

On Saturday, February 25, the horses arrived to celebrate Pioneer Days. What a crazy time -- Farmers Market is going on, the Arts & Crafts booths are shown here behind the horses, and cars trying to find parking places while horses are prancing all around. Fort Pierce knows how to celebrate with the festivals and gets people of all ages to attend events.
