While Sailcraft continued to sand, scrub, and apply the barrier paint, all 14 coats, we continued doing our chores -- Jim applied a waterproof solution to the top of the bimini and Su scrubbed seven fenders -- the list seems to grow! At the same time, the temperature slipped lower...
On Tuesday, November 2 we went to M&M's for dinner with Brenda & Geoff to celebrate our five year friendship. We met them on our second day of cruising in November 2005 at Swan Point Marina. All agreed that five years had passed much too quickly.
On Saturday, November 6 we had drinks at the Tiki Bar and dinner at Toucan Grill with our friends, Larry and Sue of M/V SueSeaQ IV and Terry and Kim of M/V Hawkeye. On Sunday, November 7, we had pizza at Broad Street Grill with Larry and Sue. On Tuesday, November 9, we had dinner at M&M's with Terry and Kim and their friend, Alice, who lives here. Both couples stopped on their way south to visit which was truly an enjoyable break for us.
On Saturday, November 20, Melanie of S/V Cowabunga took us to New Bern to pick up a Hertz rental car. On Sunday, November 21, we drove to Greer which provided a real break from living on the hard, and on Friday, November 26, we drove back to Oriental. On Monday, November 29, we put a primer coat on the bottom and the first coat of teal bottom paint went on the last day of the month. At last, we see the project nearing completion....
