The next day, Larry and Sue arrived in their RV; their boat is in Delaware this season. And the next day, Bob and Lynn arrived on M/V Legrace and docked behind us. For three days, it seemed as though all we did was eat and drink: dinner at Lorenzo's, food from the Farmer's Market, dinner at Yianni's Greek Cafe combined with entertainment by a belly dancer, and dinner at Cobb's Landing!

We started December with the past and visiting with friends. First, Chris Hoefer Fragetti and her husband, Jim, came over from Palm City, FL to visit and then we all went to Mangrove Matties on the Inlet for dinner. Chris and Su went to school together in Pleasantville, NY so they had a mini-reunion talking about old days and what they knew about other classmates. We plan to drive out to their country home to visit sometime in January.

On Sunday, December 6, we all walked up to the street to watch the Christmas Street Parade followed by the lighting of the big decorated tree in the roundabout followed by the lighting of the trees that are synchronized to music in Marina Square followed by the lighting of Palmetto Moon.
On Friday, December 11, we drove to Vero Beach and met Jim and Sue at the VB Power Squadron for happy hour and then watched the VB Boat Parade cruise by heading over to the judges at the Municipal Marina. We then had a wonderful meal at The Lobster Shanty on the west side of the ICW.

On Saturday, December 12, Jim and Sue came down from Vero Beach to watch the Fort Pierce Boat Parade from Palmetto Moon. The winning boat in the large boat category is pictured above and it wasn't easy to snap a picture with all the lights. Several of the boats came up from Stuart and were docked near us so Su was able to snap numerous pictures and delete the blurred images.
We all loved the dolphins on this boat which came in second place in the large boat classification. Very creative and so Florida....
On Sunday, December 13, we dined with Vince and Mary at Archies, the biker bar on South Hutchinson Island. Jim swears he had the best burger and must return!
On Tuesday, December 15, Terry and Kim arrive on M/V Hawkeye so another round of eating and drinking began; although, not all dining was in restaurants. Kim and Su did show off their culinary talents a few times.
On Monday, December 21, Jim left for SC to spend Christmas with his family. Su celebrated Christmas with her family at her sister's in West Palm Beach.
On Thursday, December 31, Jim, Su, and Jane had drinks and appetizers on M/V Hawkeye followed by dinner at Cobb's Landing. We returned to Palmetto Moon and Jim went to bed as it was after his bedtime. Su and Jane took a bottle of champagne and the backgammon board up to the flybridge where they drank and played until midnight. We didn't make it much past midnight; however, we did wake Jim to say "happy new year".
Su couldn't resist ending the year with this adorable picture of the two handsome men in her life!!!
