On Friday, November 7 we cruised or breezed right through St. Andrew sound early in the morning; northbound this sound is always rocky-rolly because we are traveling through in the afternoon. As we continued south, we heard the Coast Guard calling vessels to warn them about the submarine that was being escorted up St. Mary's River or Cumberland sound. We were near the entrance to the river when we had to move out of the channel, and fortunately, there is deep water outside the channel, to make room for this submarine. If you click on the picture, you can see the long black shape above the water between two escort vessels. This has been the fourth submarine we have seen this year....one in Yorktown and two in Norfolk. We spent the night at a new marina for us in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Our next stops were in Palm Coast, New Smyrna, and Cocoa Village.

On Tuesday, November 11, we arrived in Vero Beach and were surprised to dock behind Moon River III, an Ocean Alexander 456 belonging to Toby and Joanne who we met on land at Phil and Aven's party in Aurora, NC. Also, George and Jackie on Sea Otter were docked there.
