Remember, we never travel on weekends....On Saturday, November 15 we cruised down to Ft. Pierce City Marina, our home for awhile. The location is great with restaurants at either end of the basin, the small downtown with shops and more restaurants within blocks, and a Farmers Market and Craft Fair every Saturday morning in Marina Square. Our friends, Mary and Vince on Betty B, are docked across the waterway and we have spent time with them several times. The Ft. Pierce Yacht Club held a cookout our first evening and invited us to come down any Friday for beer/wine and appetizers.
On November 27, we had cocktails on the flybridge, when I asked Jim, "if the sun sets in the west, why is the east lit up with lavender, blue and pink skies". I think he thought I had lost it until he turned around and said, "get the camera so people believe you". So, here is one the pictures of the sun setting while facing EAST!
We are enjoying the warm shorts/t-shirts weather and continually refer to the wrong season -- summer. After checking the weather here versus Greer, we have concluded that our night temps are higher than the day temps in SC! We are thrilled.
