On Thursday, we woke up ready to continue cruising; however, the forecast was NW winds at 20 knots with gusts to 35. We stayed and watched as the Indian River came rolling into the marina as shown here.
On Friday, March 15, the forecast improved, and we left headed to Amelia Island with stops in Daytona Beach and Jacksonville Beach. On Sunday, March 18, we docked at Fernandina Harbor Marina where Palmetto Moon will stay for about two months.
On Wednesday, March 20, our friends, Bob and Lynn, arrived driving their car and Su's car. We had not spent time with them for 2 1/2 years since they sold M/V Legrace. It was great catching up in person and having cocktails and meals together as we did so many times in the past.
On Monday, March 25, we packed Su's car and headed to the condo for the exciting visit of doctors and taxes. It was and is much colder in the Upstate of SC than in northern FL -- brrrr. We hope it will be hot when we return to Palmetto Moon in early April.
