Jim drove to South Carolina to spend Christmas with his family, and Su celebrated with her family at her sister's home in West Palm Beach. Alex enjoyed playing with a new mouse -- a present from Su's parents.
Most of December was filled with the usual -- having breakfast from the Farmers Market every Saturday followed by shopping for vegetables for the week, dining at local restaurants, and Su and Sue shopping and lunching every Wednesday.
New Year's Eve was celebrated with Su's sister, Jane, at a party held at Cobb's Landing for many of the marina guests. Needless to say, we didn't stay until midnight as that was way past Jim's witching hour. We returned to Palmetto Moon and Su and Jane drank champagne, played backgammon, gave attention to Alex, watched the ball drop in NYC, and fell into bed around 1 AM. It was a nice ending to 2011!
