On Friday, April 2, we arrived at Marina Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, SC which would be the home for Palmetto Moon for a month. Needless to say, the wind continued to blow from the SE; however, it felt as though it was from the north.
We spent two weeks at the condo taking care of doctor appointments and filing our tax returns. It is a time for running errands, visiting friends, making lists, and very little time for relaxing.
We returned to Palmetto Moon on Saturday, April 24 and were surrounded with friends -- Larry and Sue were there in their RV, MaryLou and Joan had driven from the Toronto area, Loopers were in town for a rendezvous, and Jim and Sue were driving through on their way back to Vero Beach. In between socializing and dining out, we managed to stow supplies needed for the next six months of cruising.
Our plans are to head to Sailcraft in Oriental, NC for the annual haul-out and then head north to the Chesapeake to see new places and return to some favorite places.
