The Chambly Canal is extremely narrow with a speed limit of 6 mph. Fortunately, there are places along the canal where boats can pass as the lockmasters know where all the boats going north and south are located. We locked through nine locks in ten miles in about four hours, cruised another 20 miles, crossed into the U.S., and docked at Rouses Point, NY. 8/14/06
